Today's round of new Apple rumors comes straight from iLounge.com who talks about the upcoming 5th generation iPad, the rumored iPhone 5S and the plastic iPhone that are all said to be in various stages of development.
He reports that the 5th generation iPad, coming in October has been radically redesigned to be noticeably slimmer, and to match the new bezel-less design of the iPad mini. He speculates that the internals have been completely rejiggered, along with new IGZO screens that will also help shrink the battery life.
For the next iPhone, rumored to be a '5S' as opposed to a '6', he says that it'll be quite similar to the current design with a larger camera, better flash and some other minor tweaks.
And lastly, the constantly talked about plastic iPhone cheaper model that keeps rearing its head, is allegedly headed for China where a cheaper iPhone would be more competitive with other manufacturers for that market.
Last week, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted in an investor analyst note that both the 5th Generation iPad and iPad mini will be released in the third quarter.
His predictions? The 5th Generation iPad will receive an updated design, matching that of the iPad Mini including a thinner bezel and less weight. The iPad Mini 2 he's predicting will go Retina.
iPad mini is a completely new iPad design that is 23 percent thinner and 53 percent lighter than the third generation iPad, and features a stunning 7.9-inch Multi-Touch display, FaceTime HD and 5 megapixel iSight cameras, ultrafast wireless performance* and an incredible 10 hours of battery life.** The fourth generation iPad features a gorgeous 9.7-inch Retina display, new Apple-designed A6X chip, FaceTime HD camera and ultrafast wireless performance*. Both iPad mini and the new fourth generation iPad come with iOS 6.
