Zoomdata today announced the beta release of the Zoomdata application, with a tablet version immediately available for download at the iPad App Store. Zoomdata makes it easy for data administrators to quickly connect its stream-processing engine to a wide variety of real-time data feeds and historical data sources. Once connected, a real time data feed is instantly available, allowing users to visualize and analyze trends within its most critical data, whether it arises from social networks, IT operations, trading data, transactional systems, or virtually any enterprise or cloud-based application.
Any iPad user can now download Zoomdata from the App Store to explore Zoomdata's unique tactile tablet visualizations of the real time Twitter stream, as well as sample sales data that showcase the app's ability to isolate and illuminate the most meaningful trends. To integrate with an organization's actual enterprise data, administrators and power users can download the Zoomdata Server from Zoomdata's website, including various data source connectors and install files for virtual and Linux servers. In addition to using Zoomdata's standard set of visualizations, users have the option of configuring their own D3.JS visuals.
"We're empowering every person in a role that cares about data with the first visualization tool designed for the tablet that can keep up with them," said Justin Langseth, Founder and CEO. "The pinch/swipe/zoom capabilities make it intuitive and tactile even fun to use. We have a hard time prying the tablet away from people during demos. We're seeing major brands moving quickly to get their hands on it."
One such company is SapientNitro, a global business, marketing, and technology services company. Its analysts will be using Zoomdata to track real-time activity in social networks around a major consumer packaged goods brand. Zoomdata's visualizations help the analysts prioritize conversation strands based upon the number of participants. It also gives them an easy way to securely save, share, and collaborate on visualizations.
"The world's most discussed brands swim in a torrent of social data. Growing these brands and their fans increasingly depends on separating the signal from the noise, sifting through the chatter and zeroing in on patterns in conversation, identifying opportunity as it emerges," said Nathaniel Perez, Global Head of Social Experience at SapientNitro. "Zoomdata can now provide us with a powerful way to visualize trends and key conversations in real time, prioritize responses through data processing, and even uncover insights that allow us to define new engagement segments."
