Simplee and Liazon today announced a partnership to provide all Liazon Bright ChoicesExchange users with integrated access to the Simplee healthcare expense management platform. This partnership forms the first private benefits exchange that allows consumers to both select a personalized benefits portfolio and then track and manage their healthcare expenses throughout the year.
Liazon's flagship product, the Bright Choices Exchange, is an online benefits store that is changing the way employers and employees buy benefits. Bright Choices helps employers to save money on their healthcare costs by setting predictable budgets while allowing employees to personalize their benefits package with a selection of health, dental, vision, life, disability, and other benefits from top providers. Award-winning decision support and educational tools help employees make informed benefits selections from a wide variety of options.
"Our goal with Bright Choices is to help employees select and use their benefits more efficiently," said Alan Cohen, chief strategy officer at Liazon. "Simplee is a critical element that helps people access and organize information about their benefits to get the most out of their healthcare dollars."
With Simplee, Liazon users can access an online medical expense management system that allows them to track, review and then pay health claims and bills from all insurance related providers. In addition to plain language benefits and claims explanations, employees receive medical support notifications from Simplee that highlight deductible usage, historical spend for open enrollment decisions, and alerts for medical billing errors. Simplee makes it easy to manage and pay health claims and medical bills online.
"American's evolving healthcare system delivers more choice but also demands that consumers take more responsibility," said Tomer Shoval, CEO of Simplee. "This combination of Bright Choices and Simplee provides health plan customers with powerful tools to make informed choices and then take control of their medical plans and expenses."
