PlayOn Unveils PlayMark Browser Extension to Tag and Play Online Video

PlayOn, the media server software from MediaMall Technologies that magically streams your favorite online videos to your TV and mobile devices, today unveiled a new product and partnership: PlayMark, a browser extension for the company's PlayOn TV-streaming software, and PlayLater for the HP Pocket Playlist, a virtual DVR for online videos.

PlayMark is a browser add-on that lets users easily tag and record online videos to watch later on their TV or mobile device. The PlayMark browser extension works seamlessly with PlayOn and the PlayLater online DVR. With just a couple of clicks, users can record and save almost any online video including those from web-only sites like Funny or Die, Boing Boing, NESN and millions of other streaming sites. PlayMark will be available for new and existing PlayOn Premium customers in late Q1.

PlayOn also announced PlayLater for the HP Pocket Playlist. PlayLater is a DVR for online videos. The HP Pocket Playlist is a new device that lets users stream movies, music, TV shows and photos to five individual mobile devices at the same time with no internet connection required. With PlayLater, users can record shows from Hulu, Netflix and more than 55 other channels like Comedy Central, ESPN, Nick, and TBS. By storing these recordings on the 30 GIGABYTE HP Pocket Playlist, it's like having a portable DVR in your pocket - you can watch recorded videos on any mobile device whenever and wherever, and without using any of those precious gigabytes of smartphone or tablet memory. All HP Pocket Playlists will come with a free month of PlayLater.

PlayOn will be demoing PlayMark, PlayLater for the HP Pocket Playlist and the recently announced PlayOn for the Wii U January 7^th (tonight) at the 2013 Pepcom Digital Experience show, preceding the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show.
