Need to Scan on the Go? Xerox Releases Travel Scanner 150

Business travelers trying to manage paper while on the road will find it easy to scan and even upload documents to the cloud with the new Xerox Travel Scanner 150, a small, USB powered mobile scanner introduced by Xerox today. The Travel Scanner 150 includes automatic intelligent image correction, a sleek design and links to easily upload scanned documents to the cloud, all for only $159.99.

"Business professionals want to manage information, not spend their day scanning paper," said John Capurso, president and COO at Visioneer, a Xerox licensing partner. "This mobile scanner enables our 'road warrior' users to scan, organize and share any document they encounter, from receipts, business cards, and notes to photos, office documents and maps."

What makes the Xerox Travel Scanner 150 different?

The integration of Visioneer OneTouch technology allows users to scan to any "destination" by simply inserting the document into the scanner. This eliminates the multiple steps usually required to save scanned documents in popular file formats. Acuity software enables the scanner to make perfect scans from imperfect originals and - with the press of a button - the scanner can scan and automatically upload documents to popular cloud repositories (in your file format of choice including text-searchable PDF) via a set of free links. The Travel Scanner 150 also includes patented AutoLaunch technology so users can automatically start scanning documents as soon as they are inserted into the scanner.

Powerful yet Easy-to-Use

The Xerox Travel Scanner 150 measures only 2" x 1.5" x 12.4", weighs 10.6 ounces -- less than a can of diet soda. The Xerox Travel Scanner can scan and convert documents into searchable Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files that are easily organized, shared and protected. It is designed to automatically save, at the user's option, any scanned item into a text-searchable PDF file, while at the same time maintaining the appearance of the original document.

Pricing and Availability

The Xerox Travel Scanner 150 is priced at $159.99, and is available immediately through online channel partners, VARs and major resellers.
