Lenovo Honored by CEA for 2013 CES Innovations Design & Engineering Showcase, for DisplayLink Enabled USB 3.0 Dock

DisplayLink, the leading provider of technology for virtual graphics, and Lenovo, the world's second largest PC vendor known globally for their innovative ThinkPad products, today announced being honored by the CEA with a CES 2013 Innovation Award, in the category of Computer Peripherals for the ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock, powered by DisplayLink's award winning dual head DL-3900 USB Graphics technology.

"Lenovo have fully embraced the universal approach of USB connectivity for peripheral expansion and graphics and completely redesigned the USB3.0 Dock, fitting a huge amount in such a small form factor while totally embracing the ThinkPad identity," said John Cummins, Vice President Sales and Marketing for DisplayLink. "The chipset previously was awarded Best of Innovations in 2011 and its great to now see Lenovo being honored in a product category here in 2013."

The Lenovo USB 3.0 Dock offers smart connection and device expansion for laptops over a single USB 3.0 cable. The product provides dual head video connectivity using DisplayLink's award wining DL-3900 technology providing two DVI connectors along with Gigabit Ethernet, Microphone / Headphone socket and 5 USB ports enabling users to connect a wide variety of USB devices.

"Lenovo took design of the USB 3.0 Dock back to the drawing board and completely re-thought the whole product from scratch to build one of the smallest form factor docking stations available, measuring only 13cm high x 4.5cm wide and 9cm deep," said Jon Heim, Director Accessories Product Marketing from Lenovo. "Choosing the award winning DisplayLink DL-3900 solution was an obvious choice for us and when combined with our new design turned into a winning combination for both parties."

The design enables the dock to be easily placed on the desktop maximizing usability while minimizing space and connects to any Windows based PC / Laptop, providing flexibility to IT Managers and enterprises, enabling them a future proofed docking station strategy built on the back of a single USB cable connection.

The Award Winning Lenovo USB 3.0 Dock supports all major operating systems including Windows XP / Vista / 7 and the latest Windows 8 operating systems and is supported by software updates from DisplayLink.

Pricing and Availability

The Lenovo USB3.0 Dock (0A33970) is available through Lenovo.com, with an MSRP of $179.99. For more information, visit http://www.lenovo.com.
