L-com, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, has introduced two new audio/video adapters that allow tight right angles at ports. The new RCA and TS 1/4" adapters have rugged molded construction for demanding environments and have gold plated contacts to ensure superior audio transmission.
RCA connectors are commonly used in audio applications and are used in component and composite analog video connections. The TS 1/4" connector type is used in many high definition and professional audio applications. In both cases, plugging a straight cable into a jack at a tight angle will cause stress and damage to both the cable and the port. These new male/female adapters solve this problem by providing a controlled 90 degree angle.
"We've recently added right angle adapters for D-Subminiature, USB, RJ45, and other connectors," said Steve Smith, Product Manager. "These are the first right angle adapters for these two popular ports and we expect them to be very helpful in the audio industry."
The new adapters are scheduled to be stocked in the USA by March, allowing same-day shipment on orders. Detailed engineering drawings and 3D CAD models are available for free on L-com's website.
