Intematix Corporation, a leading innovator of patented phosphors and phosphor components for high-quality LED lighting today announced the introduction of its XR Series of red nitride phosphors for use in extending the color spectrum of LEDs. Based on a unique, patent pending composition, XR brings Intematix's total number of long wavelength phosphor offerings to six.

Long wavelength phosphors play a central role in extending the color range of LED applications like general lighting and displays including TVs, monitors and tablets. The company holds over 400 patents and patent applications worldwide in LED lighting technology.
The XR red nitride takes a leading role in color stability with a less than perceptible 2SDCM measured color shift in accelerated aging testing making it a beneficial choice for the newest high power LED designs.
