As we reported earlier this week, according to leaked documents (shhh!) Sprint will begin to offer Sprint-branded, no-contract phones and plans on January 25, 2013 for a limited number of phones to try and attract customers who prefer no annual contract.
Now, the carrier has confirmed the news that it will launch a Sprint-branded prepaid service Jan. 25 that will offer unlimited talk, text and data on feature phones and smartphones. The carrier also said it will not throttle or otherwise limit the data usage on its new prepaid plans.
The 4 phones said to be offered will include the Samsung M400, the Samsung Array, the LG Optimus Elite and the Samsung Victory. Unfortunately, other devices won't be available on this new plan to start, though they promise that more will be added over time.
The smartphone plan is set for $70 and the feature phone plan for $50, including unlimited voice, unlimited text, unlimited data, voice roaming and more along with no credit check, no activation fees, no late fees, and no termination fees.
Not included? EVDO data roaming.
