Amazon Web Services (AWS) Direct Connect Now Available to Telx Clients Nationally

Telx, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, cloud enablement services and datacenter solutions, today announced the combined availability of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Direct Connect with Telx's Datacenter Connect for Telx clients across the United States. Telx clients can now leverage private interconnection to an expanded roster of AWS facilities spanning coast to coast. Moreover, these capabilities can be combined with network services from the hundreds of carriers and cloud service providers interconnecting at Telx's industry-leading facilities to solve a broad range of complex challenges. Such solutions enable increased performance, security, availability, distributed processing, and redundant storage to support normal operations as well as business continuity and disaster recovery.

As recent extreme weather events have shown, clients must consider business continuity and disaster recovery as part of their overall business and IT strategies. Moreover, increasingly demanding customer expectations and accelerating usage of cloud services and hybrid architectures require a variety of network strategies to connect users, enterprise data centers, colocation facilities, and the cloud. Clients will benefit from the value of cost-effective, high performance, secure private access to the AWS network to support requirements for mission-critical systems in the event of a disaster.
