The first new Apple rumors of the week come from 9to5Mac this morning, who is reporting that we're close to seeing a new model of the 4th Generation iPad Retinas that went on sale back in the fall -- now with a 128GB memory option.
The site reports that "Pricing is unknown, but the new model is described as a "premium SKU" (stock keeping unity) that would join the current lineup of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB iPads. A source at a large U.S. retailer provided 9to5Mac with what is purportedly a new SKU listing for iPads that includes a fourth model labeled as "Ultimate" to join its current lineup"
Furthering along the rumor is developer reports that found in the code of the upcoming iOS 6.1 Beta that was released last week includes references to supporting 128 gig devices.
Apple of course has no comment, and theoretical timelines are unknown, so stay tuned!
