Tax time is just around the corner, and filing IRS 1099 forms can be a time consuming and confusing process, but a new online service called 1099s.com helps small business owners complete the 1099-MISC process quickly and easily.

According to Paul Canter, a Certified Public Accountant and the creator of 1099s.com, stricter IRS rules and 1099 filing requirements for businesses were the impetus behind the new 1099 filing, printing, and management service.

"Businesses are required to file a 1099 for any contractor, vendor or non-employee that receives more than $600 in compensation. Until now, there was no simple, online solution for efficiently managing the process," Canter says.

With 1099s,com, business owners or tax preparers use a simple online form to input information on each vendor or contractor for whom a 1099 is needed. The service then creates the 1099 and supplies it to both the income-earner and the IRS. The service also provides a complete summary of all 1099 filings for ease of use during tax preparation.

"1099s.com saves business owners time and helps them meet IRS requirements for providing income or revenue information to non-employees and to the IRS. It also simplifies the process of keeping track of major deductions and completing tax returns," Canter says.
